An investigation has been launched in Greece against spreading false news about the coronavirus
A prosecutor in Athens is considering two investigations by the police unit for cybercrime, in which up to 20 people are accused of violating the law on spreading false news about the coronavirus pandemic, the electronic edition of the greek newspaper Kathimerini. The first investigation concerned five groups and four individual Facebook accounts that encouraged the non-use of masks by students in schools, which included a total of 15 people. The groups involved in the cybercrime case include "No child with a mask at school", "I want fresh air for my children" and "Parents protest against the use of a mask".The other case concerns a website called "Indigenous Greek Locals", which encourages and insists on non-compliance with measures against the spread of Covid-19 coronavirus, and involves five people.
