There is a majority, we expect it to increase

 

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Northern Macedonia, Bujar Osmani, stated that there is a majority in the Parliament and that he expects it to increase further, the Skopje TV channel "Kanal 5" quotes him as saying.

"There is a majority, I can confirm it, we expect with these talks this majority to increase even more and be stable, to continue in the coming months and years with these serious activities of the government," Osmani told a news conference on the budget of the Ministry of foreign affairs for 2022.           Asked by reporters who the 61 lawmakers the SDSM said supported the ruling majority and whether he could be a member of the Alliance for Albanians, Osmani said he had a majority and could confirm that.

He added that there could be no concrete solutions without completing the whole package of negotiations, when, as he said, "I think the deputies themselves will say who is part of the majority and will support this Euro-Atlantic government."     Osmani stressed that the next period is extremely important for the country's strategic directions to achieve certain goals. According to him, any destabilization of the government in this period could further negatively affect the achievement of these goals and turn the country from part of the solution to part of the problem.                                    "I think that no one in the country wants to point the finger at the state as a reason for not resolving certain issues or not starting negotiations with the European Union, because we have not been like that so far. "Despite the fact that we were challenged in all possible ways, both internally and externally, we did not allow the state to be part of the problem, but to be the proactive party trying to find a solution," Osmani said, adding that during this period, the government must continue as it is, of course, as he put it, "by strengthening its capacity and support in the Assembly."
