 Currently, the Serbian Armed Forces is analyzing which country's fighters - Russia or France - should be purchased for the army. This was announced by the Minister of Defense of our western neighbor Nebojsa Stefanovic on national television, TACC reports.

Asked by reporters which aircraft Serbia would choose - "Soviet or French", the minister replied: "Currently, they (the military) are more for the purchase of Rafale fighters, ie. French production, but when they make the final conclusion, when they finish the whole analysis, we will see what the army will choose. These are very expensive things. "

 Stefanovic recalled that Serbia will soon receive new supplies of Russian equipment, including helicopters and Pantsir air defense systems.

Earlier, Serbian President Alexander Vucic did not rule out the purchase of 12 new fighter jets for the Serbian army. At the same time, he did not specify what planes he intends to buy the country. According to him, Serbia also intends to buy 30 helicopters in 2022-2023 - 10 H-145 (Airbus-145), four Mi-35s, three Mi-17s, and 11 used Mi-35s from one of the European countries. union.
