The ban on cultural events in Belgium has been lifted

 


 An advisory body to the Belgian government on Tuesday suspended the government's decision to close part of the cultural sector, arguing that new restrictions on Covid-19 imposed on theaters were unjustified, the EU Observer reported.

The restrictions went into effect on Sunday, but some theaters remained open in protest. In an emergency procedure, the Council of State ruled that the measures to close the theater were "disproportionate".
