 India has imposed anti-dumping duties on five Chinese products, including some aluminum products and chemicals. This was reported on Monday by The Economic Times.

The duties were imposed by the Directorate-General for Trade (DGTR) following the conclusion of an anti-dumping investigation in India against certain Chinese imported products made from rolled aluminum and chemicals used in the manufacture of solar modules, as well as in the energy and paint industries. complaint of Indian manufacturers of these products, the publication writes.

 According to DGTR, the large volume of imports from China and their undervalued prices are detrimental to Indian industry.

The trade turnover between India and China for the eleven months of this year amounted to over 114 billion dollars, which is 46.6% more than the same period last year. India's exports to China during this period amounted to 26.358 billion dollars, an increase of 35.8% on an annual basis, while imports increased by 49% to 87.905 billion dollars due to increased purchases of Chinese heavy machinery from India, telecommunications equipment and household appliances.
