The price of gas in Europe fell below 1,100 dollars per thousand cubic meters

The price of gas in Europe during stock trading on Monday fell below 1,100 dollars per thousand cubic meters, according to the London Stock Exchange ICE, reports TASS.

The price of January futures on the TTF hub in the Netherlands fell to 1064 dollars per thousand cubic meters, or 90,915? per MWh (based on the current EUR / USD exchange rate, ICE prices are presented in EUR per MWh).

The overall decline in gas prices since the beginning of the day is almost 18%.
The stock market price of gas in Europe on December 21 for the first time in history exceeded the limit of $ 2,000 per thousand cubic meters amid the coming cold weather and unusually low gas reserves in European underground storage facilities. However, the price of TTF hub futures is volatile due to speculative factors and does not reflect the real cost of physical deliveries to Europe.

The average export price of gas under contracts with Gazprom in 2021 will be $ 280 per 1,000 cubic meters, the Russian agency notes.
