The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky was asked to cancel the order of the Ministry of Defense of the country, based on which hundreds of thousands of women must be registered in the military, and the petition was registered on the website of the head of state, RIA Novosti reported.
Earlier, an order of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine came into force, which approved the list of industries and professions for which working women must be registered in the military. The list contains 35 professional fields, covering hundreds of thousands of women. Roman Gorbach, head of the personnel department of the headquarters of the land forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, noted that women conscripts must register by the end of 2022, they will not be called up without their consent, but will not be appointed without military registration. Later, Alexander Zavitnevich, chairman of the Defense, Security and Intelligence Committee, said the defense ministry would reduce the list of professions whose representatives must register for military service.
On Sunday, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine explained that pregnant women and women with young children will also be recorded in a military report.
