Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov is confident that Russian President Vladimir Putin will not allow Western countries to deploy military bases in Ukraine and said people were ready to go out and "carry out the order without a problem," TASS reported.
"If Kiev exists, there will be room for the West to establish military bases there and dictate conditions for our country. I am sure that our President will not allow this. And we, the infantry, are ready to go out and carry out the order, absolutely no problem, "Kadyrov said.
He noted that Kiev is pursuing an anti-Russian policy. "Ukraine's problematic issue is not even at the level of the president, but at a lower level. If I had to decide, I would have decided a long time ago. Either I would join Ukraine to the Chechen Republic, or I would take it a long time ago, resolving the issue there. However, there are government regulatory and legal agreements that do not allow such decisions to be made. But my firm opinion is that if Mr. [President of Ukraine Vladimir] Zelensky and his team behave in this way, then Ukraine should have joined our country a long time ago, "Kadyrov added, emphasizing that he expressed his personal opinion.
