A former Trump aide is suing congressmen investigating the Capitol raid

Former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows is suing a special commission of the US House of Representatives, which is investigating the storming of the Capitol, and the president of the lower house, Nancy Pelosi (Democrat from California), reports Politico.

On Tuesday, it became known that Meadows refused to cooperate fully with the commission, including answering questions from its representatives. According to his lawyer George Terviliger, former aide to the 45th President of the United States Donald Trump intended to do so, but has changed its mind because of the commission's position.

According to the magistrate, the congressmen will ask his client to disclose information directly related to the work of the previous US administration. Meadows considers this illegal.

On Wednesday, the commission announced its intention to file a charge of contempt of the United States Congress against Meadows.
