The Democracy Summit, hosted by US President Joe Biden, will take place on Thursday and Friday. The event will be in online format, starting shortly after 15:00 Bulgarian time. Its participants are in more than 100 countries, according to the electronic edition of the Pristina daily Koha Ditore.
Kosovo President Vyosa Osmani will deliver a speech at 5 p.m. "In his speech at this summit, President Osmani will highlight the main points of Kosovo's commitment to the rule of law, international cooperation in the fight against autocracies, strengthening the role of women in society and establishing mechanisms to ensure the implementation of commitments, "said a statement from the presidency's media service.
According to the schedule provided by the State Department, the countries are divided into types of panels. Kosovo is in the first panel after a 15-minute break at the summit. The panel of five countries has a total of 15 minutes to deliver speeches. So each country has three minutes. The panel with Kosovo also includes Luxembourg, Malta, Montenegro and the Netherlands. However, not all countries have the same time. Serbia is in a panel with only two other countries, and its representative will have five minutes to speak. Countries like Italy and France are in one panel and have 15 minutes together.
