Transnistria has said it will continue its course of independence and integration with Russia



 Transnistria will continue its course towards independence with subsequent integration with Russia. This was stated by the leader of the unrecognized republic Vadim Krasnoselski after voting in the "presidential elections", which are held on Sunday, TACC reports.

 "Transnistria will continue the path chosen by the people and consolidated by the results of the 2006 referendum," Krasnoselski said, recalling that the course "towards independence with subsequent integration with the Russian Federation" was then supported by 97.1% of respondents. . Among the main priorities of domestic policy, he pointed out "the goals and objectives set in the Strategy for the Development of the Republic: raising the level of salaries, pensions and other social payments, improving the quality of health care and the capabilities of the education system."

 "Our goal is to further build a socially oriented country with a market economy. I see the future only in development," the Tiraspol leader said.

Transnistria is holding "presidential elections" on December 12th. The CEC of the unrecognized Transnistrian Moldavian Republic (TMR) has registered two presidential candidates: Krasnoselski and Sergei Pinzar, a resident of the village of Girtop, Grigoriopol Oblast.
