Blinken chose a country in the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue

Former US envoy Donald Trump's envoy for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, Richard Grenel, believes Secretary of State Anthony Blinken will not succeed in normalizing relations between the two neighbors, the Kosovo daily Koha Ditore reported.

Blinken has already shown that he has chosen a party to the dispute and therefore cannot be trusted, Grenelle said.

"I am a person who has been applauded and criticized on both sides (Serbs and Kosovars). I am very pleased with the progress we have made. I have supporters and opponents on both sides, "the US diplomat told Pavlovic Today.

Speaking about the Washington agreement, Grenelle said neither Belgrade nor Pristina liked the issue of energy diversification.

The former US envoy said that after visiting Belgrade and Pristina, he returned fully convinced that "all people and politicians are hungry for economic normalization."

He also found it shocking that many Americans were unaware that the Washington Accords had made real progress in the Belgrade-Pristina talks over the past 20 years, noting that former US First Lady Melania Trump, a native of Slovenia, was one of the most zealous supporters of reaching an economic agreement between the two countries.
