Dozens were blocked at a shopping mall in Hong Kong due to a fire

More than 300 people have been blocked at the World Trade Center in Hong Kong's busy Causeway Bay because of a fire, The South China Morning Post reported, citing police.

The first reports of the fire were received at 12:37 local time (07:37 Bulgarian time). It is noted that more than 100 people were evacuated from the fifth floor of the building, but some buyers and visitors to restaurants are still in the mall. Their evacuation operations continue.

At least seven people have been reported injured so far.

The burning building includes a shopping center with shops and restaurants, above which is an office space. The lower part of the building is covered with bamboo scaffolding due to repairs. The cause of the fire is being clarified.
