From 15 January, France will replace the sanitary pass with a vaccination pass

The French government is accelerating the preparation of a bill to introduce the so-called. vaccination pass in the country, which will replace the sanitary one and will not take into account the results of PCR tests of its bearers. This was announced at a briefing by the official representative of the government of the country Gabriel Atal, specifying that the new measure is expected to come into force on January 15, the national daily Le Figaro reports.

According to him, both houses of parliament are "determined to quickly consider" this text, which "will be presented at a meeting of the Council of Ministers on Monday (December 27th)." "We can look forward to successfully achieving our goal of accepting the vaccination pass in the first half of January," Attal concluded.

It was assumed that the bill would be discussed in the country's government and would be presented at a meeting of the Council of Ministers only on January 5th. The debate in parliament was scheduled for January 10th.

There is currently a sanitary pass in France, which is issued both after vaccination with EU-approved products and on the basis of a certificate of past illness. It is necessary for access, in particular, to leisure and cultural institutions. The introduction of a vaccination certificate will mean that a QR code will be issued only on the basis of vaccination.
