Kosovo's parliament has passed a bill to deploy KSS abroad

Pristina lawmakers passed a second reading of a bill to deploy the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) abroad. The proposal was adopted by 68 votes in favor, according to the leading media in the youngest country in the Balkans.

Kosovo Defense Minister Armend Mehaj said the KSF's involvement in international operations is important to the country's bid to join NATO. "In terms of progress towards NATO, we are building all the necessary capabilities, we have a transition plan and we are implementing it in cooperation with our partners, but participation in international operations is also very important," he said.
