Serbian president says energy chaos in Europe

Europe's energy situation is deteriorating and chaos is raging in much of the continent, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said during an inspection of the Kostolac TPP, quoted by Serbian state news agency Tanjug.

"Currently, everyone in Serbia has electricity, except for 500 households, which is on the verge of statistical error. We managed to provide everyone with electricity, the network is stable. "On all exchanges, at all prices," Vucic said.

The Serbian president said the energy crisis in Serbia has been overcome, including by buying fuel oil from Azerbaijan and Iran.

Earlier, Vucic, during an open cabinet meeting, said that during the record snowfall on December 12th-13th, the country's energy system collapsed. More than 120,000 people were left without electricity. Together with the accident at the Obrenovac TPP, the snowfall led to many accidents in the electricity transmission network of the republic.

Earlier, the Serbian leader expressed the view that the energy crisis was caused by "irresponsible and stupid" statements by politicians in Europe. The president said that this year Europe will face "hell in terms of electricity prices."
