Single permit for work in RSM, Serbia and Albania from January 1st

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Tuesday morning that the agreement on single work permits between the countries under the Open Balkans initiative is likely to take effect on January 1st next year, and that only some technical issues remain to be finalized. Belgrade's Politika.

He told the Tirana RTS that decisions would be made today on the import of electronic and other systems.

Asked what has been done and how much has changed since the previous Open Balkans meeting in Belgrade in November, Vucic said much has changed and all teams have made decisions quickly and efficiently.

"Last night we also talked to Mr. (Dimitar) Kovachevski, who is to be the new Prime Minister of Northern Macedonia, and he is fully committed to the Open Balkans and we will continue to do so. We are doing this with a lot of faith and energy, because we know that we will make it easier for our citizens, "said the Serbian leader.

Vucic said last night they talked to some Albanian businessmen who want to invest money in Serbia and open fish restaurants in Serbia.

"People are very happy to be able to participate in this," Vucic said, adding that a large number of Serbian businessmen are also interested in the Albanian market and investment.

"I am proud to be able to help them and I would like everyone else to join us. It would be terribly important for us to join BiH, of course Montenegro and the Pristina part. Especially for BiH, because today we will talk about how to get discounts for the citizens of the "Open Balkans" through electronic import. "If you have a discount for the citizens of Skopje, how can you not have a discount for the citizens of BiH?" Vucic asked.

Asked whether the Open Balkans are open to Sarajevo, Podgorica and Pristina, what is the point if there is no answer from them, Vucic said it was their choice.

"We have always had to call, but we do not stop and we are not dissatisfied with ourselves. We believe so much in what we are doing and we know that it will bring so much good to the citizens of Northern Macedonia and Albania and Serbia, we do it with so much energy and conviction that my question is how someone in BiH or Montenegro will explain why their citizens pay more than citizens of Veles, Vlora or Serbia. They thought it was a political game, and now that we have benefits and advantages, it will be different, "Vucic said, adding that energy imports should be discussed because the region is too small.
