The EU will open a representative office in Kabul in a few weeks

A European Union mission will open in Kabul in a few weeks, but that will not mean Brussels recognizing the radical Taliban movement. This was stated at a press conference at the European Commission by the spokesperson for foreign affairs Nabila Masrali.

"We are working to ensure a minimal EU presence in Kabul. It's a matter of weeks, not months. And that's not a sign of recognition, "she said.

No further details are reported at this time.
