Flags of Albania and the KLA were hoisted in Kosovska Mitrovica

On Monday night, in one of the ethnically mixed areas of Kosovska Mitrovica, unknown individuals hung flags of Albania and the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA). This was announced by the Office for Kosovo and Metohija of the Government of Serbia, Belgrade-based electronic media B92 reports.

The statement said it was "a deliberate, dangerous provocation aimed at provoking an unbalanced reaction from the Serbian people in the northern part of the province, which has been severely damaged by KLA terrorists".

The Office for Kosovo and Metohija believes that although the perpetrator is being covered up, the tribute to the "terrorist KLA has its own recognizable signature and leads all the way to the authorities in Pristina."

The statement said that "Albin Kurti's obvious intention is to increase tensions in northern Kosovo and Metohija again, to provoke incidents and thus try to gather political points."

It also states that "the fact that Kurti is not welcome in Serb communities in Kosovo and Metohija, and the north of the province is his daily obsession, cannot be compensated by such actions and the raising of flags of terrorist organizations in Serb communities." .

"It is clear that Kurti is obviously not interested in dialogue and normalization of relations, but he is interested in a new escalation of tension, through which he can once again show his true face to an extremist disguised as a politician," the government service concluded.
