The flight certification program for the newest Russian passenger aircraft MS-21 has been completed, the aircraft will soon receive type certification, said the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov, quoted by TACC.
Manturov reminded that the commercial deliveries of the plane should start next year.
Earlier, he said that the certification of the MS-21 aircraft until the end of 2021 depends on the dates of completion of the test flight program and the speed of decision-making by the regulatory body - Rosaviatsia. The Ministry of Industry and Trade has promised to do everything possible to certify the aircraft this year.
The MS-21 is a medium-range civil aircraft under development and is being assembled at the Irkutsk Aviation Plant (part of the United Aviation Corporation under Rostech).
