The Pentagon continues to claim that the United States is monitoring a significant concentration of Russian troops near the border with Ukraine. The corresponding statement was made on Monday by the spokesman of the US Department of Defense John Kirby, quoted by TASS.
"There is still a significant Russian military presence on the border with Ukraine," he argued. He said the United States continues to monitor the situation and continues to express concern.
Kirby also said that American planes will continue to fly over the Black Sea, as permitted by international law. "We will continue to fly, walk and conduct operations where international law allows us to do so," a Pentagon spokesman said.
