6,000 children aged 5-11 have already been vaccinated in Greece

 


 More than 40,000 children between the ages of 5 and 11 have reserved hours for vaccination against COVID-19 and more than 6,000 have already been vaccinated, an Athens health official said, according to the online edition of the Greek daily Kathimerini.

Marios Themistocleus, secretary general of primary health care, also said more than 500,000 reservations per hour had been made over the past 10 days for booster vaccines.

More than 6.9 million people in Greece have completed their vaccinations, representing 65.7% of the total population and 75.2% of the adult population, he added.

The corresponding average for the European Union is 67.2% of the total population and 78.5% of the adult population.
