Orban is planning a meeting with Putin early next year

 


 Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has announced that he plans to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin early next year, Reuters reports.

According to Orban, the meeting could take place in Russia.

In August, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in an interview with the Hungarian newspaper Magyar Nemzet that contacts between Vladimir Putin and Viktor Orban would resume soon when the pandemic situation stabilized. The last time Putin and Orban met in Budapest was in 2019.
