Biden is counting on new contacts with Putin soon

US President Joe Biden expects new personal contacts with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the foreseeable future. The American leader confirmed this, answering a question from a TASS correspondent in the White House.

The agency spokesman asked Biden to clarify whether he planned to hold a personal meeting with Putin in the near future, as well as whether, in his view, a new Russian-American summit was needed. "We'll talk for a long time," Biden assured.

The presidents of the Russian Federation and the United States held video talks on December 7, which lasted more than two hours. The predominant topic was the situation around Ukraine. The leaders also discussed bilateral relations, cybersecurity and Iran's nuclear deal.
