Depression levels in the Polish LGBTI community have risen significantly after years of Jaroslav Kaczynski's Law and Justice party's nationalist-conservative rule. This shows a study by the Center for the Study of Prejudice at the University of Warsaw, quoted by the EU Observer.
About 44% of LGBTI people report severe symptoms of depression in 2019-2020, compared to 28% in 2017. Parents have also become less tolerant of children who have revealed their sexuality in the same period. notes in the study.
