Former Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz plans to step down completely from politics, the national daily Die Kronen Zeitung reported, adding that he would soon resign as chairman of the Austrian People's Party (APP).
According to the newspaper, Kurz made this decision after the birth of his son. Incumbent Foreign Minister Karl Nehammer is expected to succeed him to the ANP leadership. The party has already announced that Kurz will make an official statement in a few hours.
