The United States and its allies are preparing new sanctions against Belarus

 

Washington and European Union countries are preparing new restrictions for Minsk due to the migration crisis. This was stated by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken at a press conference in Riga after a meeting of NATO foreign ministers, reports TACC.

"In the light of the actions taken by the regime of [President of Belarus] Alexander Lukashenko, the Alliance has suspended cooperation with Belarus, the United States is preparing additional sanctions in close coordination with the EU and other partners and allies. We call on the regime to immediately stop using migrants as a political weapon, "the agency quoted Blinken as saying.
