Wreaths were laid at Skenderbeg Square in Skopje, where citizens will be able to pay their respects to those killed in a bus crash on the Struma highway, according to the Albanian-language Macedonian television channel Alsat M.

The remains of the dead are expected to arrive later in the day, as Bulgarian Air Force planes to deliver them to Skopje took off late from Sofia Airport due to strong winds. Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Northern Macedonia (RSM) announced that at the request of the families of the victims, the procession, which was to pass through the center of the Macedonian capital, was canceled.
