Cooperation at all levels and step by step solving open issues

 


 It is necessary to expand the field of cooperation between Macedonia and Bulgaria and to start solving the open issues step by step, it became clear from the meeting of the Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs of the Republic of Macedonia Bojan Maricic and Christian Vigenin, Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly of Bulgaria, who is visiting Skopje with the Bulgarian delegation led by Prime Minister Kiril Petkov, writes the Skopje newspaper Sloboden Pechat.

 "Several topics were discussed at the meeting, focusing on co-operation between the two countries and at all levels, as well as the importance of Macedonia's European integration for the region," Maricic's press office said.

At the meeting, Maricic stressed the importance of establishing close co-operation and communication at all spheres and levels.

"In this direction, Macedonia will begin to activate the working groups and bodies needed to launch a dynamic process of European integration, which should be seen as a bridge to further transparent and inclusive co-operation between the two countries," the statement said.

 According to Maricic and Vigenin, it is in the mutual interest of both countries to connect the non-governmental sector, the business community and academia, which will improve the atmosphere between the peoples of the two countries.

The press service reports that Vigenin presented the host of the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs Maricic, with a gift of hospitality and friendship.
