NATO wants to occupy Ukraine

The spread of rumors of an alleged impending Russian invasion of Ukraine could be seen as preparation for NATO's move to Ukrainian territory. This was announced on Tuesday, opening the spring parliamentary session, the chairman of the State Duma of Russia Vyacheslav Volodin, quoted by TASS.

"All this can be seen as informational preparations for NATO's offensive on Ukrainian territory. "Their advisers are already there, the instructors are there and now they are thinking about how to justify the deployment of troops," Volodin said. "In other words, NATO is seeking to occupy Ukraine," the politician said.

According to him, in recent months the situation around Ukraine is already reminiscent of hysteria. "Congressmen and State Department officials are threatening the world with an impending Russian invasion. It is clear that Washington is trying to justify its expansion and the movement of NATO troops to Russia's borders," Volodin said. At the same time, he stressed, Washington is acting "according to the standard scheme." "First he invented the image of the enemy, then he fought heroically against it. That was the case in Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Yugoslavia. Nothing new was invented," Volodin said.

In this regard, he noted, today it is extremely important for the deputies of the State Duma to have a dialogue with the parliaments of other countries. "Our task is to prevent a terrible tragedy, the world is closer to it than ever. And in this regard, we need to bring information to all parliaments so that they realize their responsibility and understand how this can end. Russia has something to answer, but this, of course, will have consequences, "Volodin told lawmakers.
