The president is reportedly speaking in the Albanian parliament, and is expected to open the Ehem Bey mosque, which was rebuilt by the Turkish Co-operation and Coordination Agency (TIKA).

Erdogan will also find housing estates built by Turkey in the province of Lach, which suffered great devastation after the 6.3 magnitude earthquake in late 2019, which killed 51 people, injured more than 900 and left nearly 17,000 to leave their homes.

The groundbreaking ceremony was held in December 2020 for the construction of 522 homes by the Turkish Housing Development Administration (TOKI) in the Albanian town of Lach. They will be provided to people who lost their homes in the two earthquakes in September and November 2019.
