The United States and NATO are ready to hold new talks with Russia


 

 US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken had a telephone conversation with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, during which they discussed further steps in cooperation with the Russian Federation after the NATO-Russia Council meeting on 12 January. According to the State Department, the United States and NATO are ready for a new meeting with the Russian Federation, reports TACC.

 "Secretary Anthony Blinken is in talks today with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg to discuss the next steps since the NATO-Russia Council meeting on 12 January. "The United States and NATO are ready to meet with Russia again and are determined to continue diplomatic engagement and reciprocal dialogue," said a statement from Foreign Ministry spokesman Ned Price.

"The United States and its NATO allies are united in their efforts to find a diplomatic path and call on Russia to take immediate action to de-escalate its ongoing aggression against Ukraine," the document said.
