Earthquake near Vrancea

 


 An earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale was registered at 15:43 Bulgarian time, in the Vrancea region. The quake's epicenter was 52.9 km northwest of Buzau, Romania, and 406 km from Sofia. This was announced by the National Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy and Geography of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, BTA reported.

According to seismologists, the earthquake in Romania is at a depth of 124 kilometers.
