Antivaxers train "radical actions"

Thousands of anti-vaccine activists have joined a group that is conducting combat training and threatening "radical action" in a sign that the conspirators have become more extreme, writes the British newspaper The Times.

In the last two weeks, the Alpha Men Assemble has organized several meetings on "learning tactics and strategy", reveals The Times.

At the last meeting, on the beach in Littlehampton, West Sussex, on Tuesday, up to 100 activists took part in boxing drills and a blockade drill, in which two groups of dozens of people tried to push each other.

Two more "training and strategic" meetings are planned, one in Brownhills, Staffordshire, on 8 January and another in Motherwell, North Lanarkshire, on 29 January.

Those present are told to wear "black uniform, black boots and black hat". A "task team" will be selected in Brownhills to complete the group's first "task" in mid to late January.

The type of action planned by the group is unclear. Those hoping to join the work team were told: "You will need to have a cool head and you will need to control your emotions. If you can't do that, you won't be allowed to attend the direct action. "

The activities of the group are coordinated through a channel in the Telegram. Created three weeks ago, the channel has 6,000 members.

The group's leaders are not known, but a source said some of them appear to have a military background. Danny, the administrator of the Alpha Men Assemble, did not respond to a request for comment.

The group bears a striking resemblance to QAnon, a conspiratorial group whose supporters stormed the Capitol in Washington last year.

The Alpha Men Assemble says its guiding principle is "saving children", while QAnon has united around a baseless conspiracy that a bondage of satanic pedophiles has worked to oust President Trump.

The British group also shares traits borrowed from far-right movements, including paranoia about "anti-infiltration" and communism.

Members have republished stories published by Tommy Robinson News, a social media channel run by a former leader of the English Defense League.

Although the group insists it will not incite violence and that its actions will be legal, the channel includes videos showing how to hit and kick. One post reads: "I hope you have a fire in your stomach. Time for action. No more devilry. ”

The group's channel shows what anti-waxers could do to support their baseless claims.

In its reports, the Alpha Men Assemble criticized the ineffectiveness of rallies and protests by people like Pierce Corbyn, whom the group described as "walks in the park." Instead, the Radicals promise a "purely unadulterated challenge."

On Wednesday, a group led by Corbyn and Jeff Wyatt, a former UCIP candidate, passed through Milton Keynes. Some activists later stormed a coronavirus testing center in the city, abusing staff and taking away test equipment.

John O'Loney, funeral director and anti-waxer, was due to speak at the protest, but is believed to be in hospital with Covid-19.
