Bulgaria is preparing to block Macedonian European integration

Bulgarian President Rumen Radev stressed after the meeting, attended by new Prime Minister Kiril Petkov and representatives of all parliamentary parties, that Albania should not wait for Macedonia and should be allowed to start talks with the EU, the newspaper said.

 "Giving consent to start negotiations for Macedonia with the EU should not be tied to deadlines, but to real achievements, including the rights of Macedonian Bulgarians," Radev was quoted as saying by Tanjug.

The publication also notes the words of the head of state that four years after the signing of the Treaty of Friendship, Good Neighborliness and Cooperation between the two countries in 2017, Macedonia has not done enough to implement it and does not guarantee its implementation.
