A fire broke out in a refinery in Siberia


 A fire broke out in an oil refinery in the Tyumen region, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region told TASS.

"I confirm the fact (about the fire in the Antipin oil refinery)," the agency's interlocutor said, answering a question from a TASS correspondent about the fire at the plant.

According to a TASS source, there are no casualties from the emergency services in the region. The fire is localized.
 According to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region, an installation for deep processing of fuel oil has caught fire in the refinery. "At 09:42 (06:42 Bulgarian time) on January 4, a report was received of a fire in the plant for deep processing of fuel oil on the territory of the Antipin oil refinery," the press service said. The fire has spread to 100 square meters, the technological block is burning. Extinguishing is performed by the fire service of the site.

 The press service of the administration of the city of Tyumen added to TASS that an operational headquarters for firefighting has been established in the city and all specialists from the headquarters are on site at the plant. A TASS source in the company clarified that there are no oil tanks near the place where the fire broke out.

The Antipin refinery is the largest independent oil refinery in Russia, located in the Tyumen industrial zone. It is connected to a main oil pipeline (with a capacity of 7.5 million tons per year) and a product pipeline (with a capacity of 2.3 million tons per year). In 2016, according to Forbes, the company ranked 43rd in terms of revenue among the 200 largest private companies in Russia.
