Kosovo expels Russian UNMIK official

Kosovo Foreign Minister Donika Gervala has declared a Russian official of the United Nations Mission in Kosovo and Metohija (UNMIK, UNMIK) persona non grata, TACC reports.

"At the suggestion of Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, I decided today to declare a Russian UNMIK official in Kosovo persona non grata due to his harmful influence, which violates national security," Gervala wrote on Facebook on Friday.

Earlier, on October 22nd, the president of unrecognized Kosovo, Vyosa Osmani, declared two Russian diplomats from the Russian embassy in Serbia's Pristina persona non grata. According to Osmani, the activities of Russian diplomats "have negatively affected Kosovo's national security and constitutional order".
