Russia plans to organize sabotage and other similar events in Ukraine in the name of internal destabilization of the country, said US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland, quoted by the Ukrainian TV channel "Telekanal novin 24".
At the briefing, Nuland told reporters that it was Russia that created the crisis over Ukraine and that it was she who was trying to turn the situation around in such a way as to justify herself with the help of "misinformation and lies about Ukraine."
"Russia created this crisis out of nothing. Russia is the one that has gathered 100,000 troops along Ukraine's borders. It is Russia that is preparing internal sabotage, destabilization and options for other actions under a false flag in Ukraine, "Nuland said.
The State Department spokesman reiterated that Russia is an aggressor and that Kiev does not intend to threaten the Kremlin. On the contrary, Ukraine wants a peaceful, democratic and European future for its people.
