Turkey has complained to the UN about Cypriot gas exploration

In a letter dated 20 December, Turkey's Permanent Representative to the UN described Cyprus's decision on Block 10 as "another example of the many escalating steps threatening peace and stability". He also underlined the determination of Turkey and Turkish-occupied Northern Cyprus to defend their legitimate rights and interests against such "unilateral acts and provocations".
