A man fled from South to North Korea

South Korea has registered a human border crossing with North Korea, but border guards have failed to catch the deserter, South Korea's Yonhap news agency reported.

Late Saturday night, an unknown person crossed the line and entered North Korea. The South Korean military sent troops to intercept the deserter, but they were unable to do so. As a result, the following day, Sunday, South Korea notified the DPRK of infiltration of the Western military communications line.

The South Korean military told Yonhap that the circumstances surrounding the incident were being investigated and the fate of the deserter was unknown.
