Gazprom reported record profits in 2021

Gazprom has announced record results in 2021. The export of the Russian energy giant increased by 5.8 billion cubic meters to 185.1 billion, which is the fourth result for the company, but still the profits are the largest in history, writes "Vzglyad".

According to Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller, 15 countries have increased gas imports in 2020. The biggest growth was provided by its largest consumers - Germany (+ 10.5%), Turkey (+ 63%), Italy (+ 20.3%).

He also noted the role of the Nord Stream and Turkish Stream pipelines. According to Miller, an important feature of 2021 was the implementation of the project for the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline with a capacity of 55 billion cubic meters.

"Gas exports through the Power of Siberia pipeline to China are growing. In 2021, we regularly supplied gas to China in excess of contractual obligations. "From January 1, 2022, Gazprom has reached a new level of supply, as provided for in the long-term bilateral agreement for the sale of gas," the director added.

"By the end of 2021, we expect the maximum financial result in the entire history of Gazprom. This means that the dividends will also be absolutely record-breaking, "Miller concluded.
