Protesters have announced they will block the Belgrade Assembly

The Serbian Environmental Uprising Movement and other organizations have announced they will block the Assembly on Wednesday during a meeting scheduled for 12 a.m. local time (1 p.m. Bulgarian time), Belgrade's Politika reported.

It was announced that the blockade of the Serbian government building will continue until the repeal of the decree on the development plan of the special purpose zone for the implementation of the Yadar project and until all documents signed with Rio Tinto are published on the government website.

The Ecological Uprising has announced that it will ask the representatives of this movement to attend the government meeting and insist on the inclusion of an item on the agenda of the meeting, which will repeal the decree on the Yadar lithium mine project.

"This is the latest in a series of attempts to put pressure on our institutions to finally start working in the interests of the citizens and in the interests of preserving our country and people." "If our demands are ignored, the government will be the only one responsible for everything that happens in the coming days of blockades and protests," the protesters said in a statement.
