EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell told Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti that the government in Pristina is obliged to implement the Agreement on the Establishment of the Community of Serbian Municipalities, which in fact means the creation of Serbian autonomy. of Republika Srpska in Bosnia and Herzegovina, belgrade's Politika writes.
"I apologize to the Prime Minister (Kurti), but we must continue to ask you to implement the Agreement on the Community of Serbian Municipalities," Borel told a news conference in Brussels with Kurti, responding to Kurti's response to a question from Tanjug.
Kurti also said that in 2015, when the court ruling was announced, none of the Serbs in Kosovo protested against it, but, he said, only official Belgrade.
"It is time for a dialogue, because the citizens will be the only ones who will benefit, not the politicians," Kurti said.
He added that, as he said, the "democratic nature of dialogue" is needed, ie. people to benefit, and all the decisions that come from above are there to please politicians, not democrats.
Asked by a journalist from Tanjug if he had spoken directly with Kurti about constructiveness in the implementation of the Brussels agreements, including the WTO, Borel said he expected full implementation of those agreements in order to normalize relations between Belgrade and Pristina.
