Gazprom, with record profits in 2021, predicts an even more successful 2022

The net profit of the Russian state concern Gazprom for 2021 will be a record, exceeding 2 trillion rubles (over 23 billion euros). The company will also reach record revenues in excess of 8.2 trillion rubles (about 92 billion euros), Gazprom Deputy Chairman of the Board Famil Sadigov said in an interview with Gazprom magazine, TASS reports.

"Net profit will reach the maximum value for the entire existence of the company, exceeding 2 trillion rubles. At the same time, the net profit for the first nine months of 2021 already amounts to 1550 billion rubles, which exceeds the results of each previous calendar year, "he said.

According to him, Gazprom's revenues in 2021 will exceed the record figure of 2018 - 8.2 trillion rubles. EBITDA will also reach a historic record of 3.5 trillion rubles. The volume of capital investment in the Gazprom Group will amounts to 1.9 trillion rubles, and free cash flow will exceed 1 trillion rubles, which is more than the amount of dividends paid in 2021.

The volume of dividend payments to the company for 2021 may exceed 1 trillion rubles, which will be a record for the entire Russian stock market. Gazprom's total dividend for 2021 may exceed 45 rubles per share. Gazprom admits that at the end of 2022 the holding's dividends may be higher than in 2021.

"The final result for 2021 will depend on the results of the fourth quarter, which, as we expect, will have the largest contribution to the final amount of the dividend base. We believe that given the favorable conditions in the oil and gas markets, the final value for the year will exceed 45 rubles per share. The total amount of dividend payments will exceed 1 trillion rubles, which will be a record not only for Gazprom, but also for the entire Russian stock market, "Sadigov said.

In addition, Gazprom may once again set a record for the volume of dividend payments in 2022. Investment analysts predict that next year will be even more successful for Gazprom against the background of the price environment in the energy markets. Accordingly, by the end of 2022, even higher dividends may be paid. Keep in mind that there are all objective grounds for these forecasts, "Sadigov said.

Sadigov added that the expected dividend yield on Gazprom shares at the end of 2021 will be around 13-15%.
