Germany will impose restrictions on the unvaccinated

German authorities will restrict unvaccinated residents' access to shops, except for pharmacies and supermarkets, and will close bars and clubs across the country, Focus Online reported on Wednesday.

The publication refers to a draft decision prepared for negotiations on December 2 to tighten the measures against the background of the fourth wave of the pandemic. They will be attended by the authorities of 16 federal states, the resigning Chancellor Angela Merkel and Olaf Scholz, who will take her place in the coming days.

It is assumed that the unvaccinated will be allowed to meet only in a small company - with a maximum of two other citizens from different households. The rule does not apply to children.

Authorities will not close schools, instead the regime of masks in educational institutions will be tightened. Football stadiums can be filled up to 30%, cultural events can be attended by a maximum of 5 thousand people at a time. In addition, pharmacy workers are expected to be involved in the vaccination campaign. The goal is to get 30 million vaccinations by the end of December.

Authorities are also proposing a decision as soon as possible on whether or not to introduce compulsory vaccination against Covid-19. Scholz is already arguing in favor of this move.
