Serbia has bought a stake in the building that houses Macedonia's embassy in Bern

Serbia has bought a stake in the Macedonian embassy in Bern, the online edition of the Nezavisen newspaper reported.

"Serbian Ambassador to Switzerland Goran Bradic, with the permission and order of Foreign Minister Nikola Selakovic, signed a purchase agreement with Macedonian Ambassador to Switzerland Kenan Ramadani to purchase a Macedonian co-ownership stake in the former Yugoslav embassy." writes the publication.

In the next 30 days, Macedonia will be paid eight per cent of the value of the building housing the embassy, consulate and residence of the Serbian ambassador.

The building of the embassy in Bern, with an area of 1835 square meters, was built by the company "UEnergoproekt" in 1978, and in 2017 the canton of Bern included it in the list of protected cultural sites.
