Snow emergency in five Serbian municipalities

 


 A state of emergency has been declared in five municipalities in Serbia - Ivanica, Luciani, Nova Varos, Ljubovija and Krupan, Belgrade's Politika reported.

The accident of block A1 of TENT Obrenovac was eliminated last night and the citizens received electricity and heating, the president of this municipality Miroslav Čučković confirmed for RTS.
Wet and heavy snow broke power lines and knocked down poles across the country, with about 28,000 people currently without electricity and field crews repairing accidents, Beta reported.
Primary and secondary schools in Krupan will be closed for three days due to heavy snow, and the first working day is Thursday, December 16th
