The German government, contrary to original plans, is tightening restrictions on those vaccinated and those who have fallen ill. As the Focus Online portal reported on Monday, such a point is contained in the draft of new measures, which are expected to be approved on Tuesday after a meeting of German authorities.
A maximum of 10 people will be able to participate in private meetings from December 28. If a person is not vaccinated, then he can only meet people with whom he lives. Nightclubs and discos will be closed, Bild writes, calling it a "light lockdown".
It is assumed that cultural institutions and establishments will continue to operate. Only the vaccinated and the sick are allowed there.
Tighter restrictions are needed due to the spread of the Omicron strain, German media reported.
