The United States is working on a plan to provide Ukraine with intelligence that will help Kiev counter the alleged planned Russian invasion, The New York Times reported, citing senior US officials.
Measures being discussed by the White House, the Pentagon and the State Department include the redeployment of previously scheduled Afghan military helicopters and other military equipment to Ukraine. In addition, the US administration is considering sending additional cyber warfare experts. According to the publication, the United States and Britain have already sent a number of specialists in this field in the event of a "cyber attack on Ukraine"
The newspaper claims that US intelligence may include images that could determine whether Russian troops are moving toward the Ukrainian border so that the Ukrainian military can prevent an attack.
According to newspaper sources, US intelligence services are already giving Ukraine access to much more material than before the Russian military's build-up around Ukraine's borders.
