"We are significantly reducing the diplomatic presence in European countries. I do not mean that we are cutting embassies or foreign offices. We are reducing the number of diplomatic staff, "the minister was quoted as saying by BelTA.
According to him, at the same time, the Foreign Ministry is largely "transferring [diplomats] to other areas of work, to other areas where they will be sought." "These are the CIS countries, we are strengthening a number of embassies, and the countries of the far arc (the countries of Asia, Africa and Latin America," the Belarusian foreign minister explained.
